Selection Procedure
1. Eligibility for Application:
Candidates who wish to apply for this course should meet the following prerequisites:
Tool and Die Engineering: (TDE)

Should have passed SSLC (10th Standard) or equivalent with minimum of 50% marks in English, Mathematics and Science subjects (Physics & Chemistry)

Should be at least 155cm tall, Weighing 45 kgs and having normal eyesight.
Should not be less than 15 years old and not more than 19 years old as on July of the year of admission.
Course commences on 1st week of August of every year for Tool and Die Engineering.
 
Precision Machining Technology (PMT)
(NCVT Approved)

Should have passed SSLC (10th Std) or equivalent with minimum of 40% marks in English, Mathematics and Science (Physics & Chemistry) subjects.

Should be atleast 155cm tall, Weighing 45 kgs and having normal eyesight.
Should not be less than 15 years old and not more than 19 years old as on July of the year of admission.
Course commences on 1st week of August of every year for Precision Machining Technology
 
Post Diploma in Tool Design (PDTD)
Should have passed Diploma / Degree in Mechanical / Production/ Industrial / Polymer or Tool and Die Engineering from a renowned institution with minimum 60% marks.
Should not be more than 30 years as on September of the year of admission.
Both boys and girls can apply.
The course commences in September of every year for PDTD.
 
Mechatronics
Should have passed SSLC/ Matriculation/HSC (12th Std) or equivalent with minimum of 50% marks in English, Mathematics and Science (Physics & Chemistry) subjects.
Both boys and girls can apply.
Course commences on 1st week of August of every year for Mechatronics.
 
Advanced Diploma in Mechatronics (ADMAT)
3 Should have passed Diploma / Degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics / Mechatronics / Instrumentation) or equivalent with minimum 60% marks aggregate.
2 Should not be more than 30 years as on September of the year of admission.
1 Both boys and girls can apply.
The course commences in September of every year for ADMAT
 
Mould Polishing
SSLC passed / failed, Girls / Boys can apply.
Physically challenged candidates with good eyesight and hands may also apply.
Course commences in August and February every year for Mold Polishing.
 
2. Entrance Examination:
Selection is made based on the marks scored in the qualifying examination and performance in the entrance tests conducted by the centre. Enrollment will be done in the order of merit only.
The number of trainees enrolled for each course will be:
60 Trainees for Tool & Die Engineering (one intake per year)
24 Trainees for Precision Machining Technology
30 Trainees for Post Diploma in Tool Design (one intake per year)
32 Trainees for Mechatronics (one intake per year)
10 Trainees for Mould Polishing (two intakes per year)
Note: For PDTD admission, only written tests will be conducted on Engineering subjects followed by personal interview.
         For mould polishing course, no entrance test is conducted.
The following gives the general pattern of entrance tests:
Phase I: Written Test of 45 minutes duration each. TOP
English
Mathematics
Science (Physics & Chemistry)
General Aptitude, Reasoning, Visual Reasoning, Conditional Reason.
Those who are successful in Phase I test will be called for Phase 2 test in order of merit.
 
Phase II: Skill Test
Practical test relevant to mechanical field which tests finger dexterity, concentration, neuromuscular co-ordination , etc.
 
Phase III: Personal Interview
